Microsart® e.motion Dispenser
Microsart® e.motion Membrane Filters
The fully automated membrane filter dispenser provides individually, sterile gridded membrane filters without protective paper.
Microsart® Combi.jet
The 2-branch stainless steel manifold with innovative Quick Connection technology. It can be easily connected and disassembled to the Microsart® e.jet Transfer Pump.
Microsart® e.jet
The transfer laboratory pump is able to create sufficient vacuum for vacuum filtration concomitantly transferring the filtered liquid directly to waste
Microsart® mini.vac
Microsart® maxi.vac
Two electric neoprene membrane pumps, oil- and maintenance-free with a low noise level.
Microsart® Base 47 mm
The unique features of Microsart® Base 47 mm are the recesses for the membrane filter and the tweezers. Thus the easy positioning and removal of membrane filters are guaranteed.
Microbiological analysis by the membrane filtration method allows large sample volumes with low microbial count to be tested. Growth inhibitors can be rinsed out after filtration, before incubation.
Membrane Filtration Method
A gridded membrane filter is placed on a filter support and on top a funnel is fitted on. The sample is filtered. In this process microorganisms in the test sample are retained on the filter surface by the screening action of the membrane filter.
Finally, the membrane filter is placed on a culture medium and incubated.
Nutrients and metabolites are exchanged through the pore system of the membrane filter. Colonies, which have developed on the membrane filter surface during incubation, are counted and related to the sample volume.
